Terms of Service

1. About PAfolio

PAfolio is a digital portfolio platform for Physician Associates (PAs) and Anaesthesia Associates (AAs) registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) in the United Kingdom. PAfolio is operated as a sole trader business in the UK.

2. Eligibility

To use PAfolio you must:

• Be a Physician Associate or Anaesthesia Associate registered with or applying for registration with the GMC
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Have a valid payment method

3. Subscription and payment

Plans

• Monthly — £7/month + VAT (£8.40 inc VAT). Billed monthly.
• Annual — £55/year + VAT (£66 inc VAT). Billed annually.

Billing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled. You will receive an email receipt for every payment.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Monthly subscribers retain access until the end of their current billing period. Annual subscribers retain access until the end of their annual period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.

Price changes

We will give you at least 30 days notice before any price changes. Early subscribers are protected by our locked-in price guarantee for the duration of their subscription.

4. Your account

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials secure
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Ensuring information you enter is accurate
• Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access

One account per person. Sharing accounts between multiple users is not permitted.

5. Your data and content

You own all portfolio content you create in PAfolio. We do not claim ownership of your CPD logs, reflections, or any other portfolio evidence.

You grant us a limited licence to store and display your content for the purpose of providing the PAfolio service.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you enter complies with your employer's information governance policies and does not contain patient identifiable information.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Enter patient identifiable information into PAfolio
• Share your account with others
• Use PAfolio for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer or copy any part of the platform
• Use PAfolio in a way that could damage or overburden our systems

7. GMC compliance disclaimer

PAfolio is designed to help you organise evidence for GMC revalidation. However:

• PAfolio is not affiliated with or endorsed by the GMC
• It is your responsibility to ensure your portfolio meets GMC requirements
• PAfolio does not guarantee that use of the platform will result in successful revalidation
• Requirements may change — always refer to current GMC guidance

8. Service availability

We aim to keep PAfolio available 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may occasionally need to perform maintenance which may temporarily affect availability. We will notify users of planned downtime where possible.

9. Limitation of liability

PAfolio is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for:

• Loss of data (though we take every precaution to prevent this)
• Any indirect or consequential losses
• Any issues arising from GMC revalidation outcomes

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months prior to the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may delete your account at any time by emailing hello@pafolio.co.uk. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before significant changes take effect. Continued use of PAfolio after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
